Simply stated, I love what I do. My mission has always been to provide comprehensive dental care to all of my patients in a friendly, caring, and highly professional environment. For over 30 years, I have been entrusted with this task by my practice, seeing so many of you as children and now having the privilege of treating your own kids. For this, I am humbly grateful and honoured.
I graduated from the University of Toronto in 1984 with an Honours Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology and the University of Western Ontario in 1989, with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. During my time at U of T, I received numerous academic awards and scholarships, including the coveted NSERC Scholarship for genetic research. When applying to dental school, I received unconditional acceptance from both of my alma maters. Since graduating, I have been in private practice and am now a 32-year member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA).
Over the span of my career, I have taken many continuing education courses. Highlighting my most significant are a mini-residency in implantology and sinus lift procedures, surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth, periodontal grafting, sedation, and root canal treatment. My true passion, however, lies in changing people's smiles through the art of aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry.
In my spare time, I am very active and love to explore the outdoors. Cycling, hiking, and swimming are my favourite hobbies. Also, I'm a huge soccer fan, my claim to fame is being at the opening game of the 2014 World Cup in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Closer to home, I'm a BBQ enthusiast. My passion for grilling is shared by my two sons, both of whom are graduated professionals in their own right. I am also fluent in Croatian. When passing the time, a bottle of wine and good conversation always makes for a great evening.
